In the early days of my painting career (beginning 2019) I found myself drawing from American traditional tattoo motifs and referencing its icons such as Percy Waters & Rosie Camanga. Serving as a gateway into clean lines and contrasting saturated colours - an ongoing theme in my work to come. After nurturing my skills in painting through this inspired aesthetic I began breaking away from these themes. 

In my most recent body of work, my solo exhibition ‘Your Teeth In My Neck’ - 2025 I found fascination and influence from birds & dogs, using animalia as a vehicle for cartoonish & playful portraiture in a surrealist, childlike landscapes.
